Navasota Wedding Walk // September 30, 2023
By: Christina
The Wedding Walk turned our charming downtown area into a mini vendor wonderland. The P.A. Smith Hotel hosted an array of vendors that filled their downstairs main area. Walking through what is known as the Crown Jewel of Navasota, I was able to find Rustic Resin Works flower preservation, view custom branded leather by Timeless Leather, walk past tables with a variety of table setting options for receptions, and even meet cosmeticians, hairstylists, and a few other vendors specializing in balloon arches, cocktails, and photography. They also had an area where a group of vendors worked together to decorate a space, but it was hard to tell who did what and not everyone was present – many just left tri-folds and business cards behind
Just next door at Rail and Rye, one of Navasota’s “newer to the area” Wedding Coordinators, Karina Munoz of All things Wedding – KM Events, was busy greeting Brides as they collected information on what all she had to offer. Borrowed and Blue had marquee letters set up and Golden Gurlz permanent jewelry was nearby, as well as a Cookie Tales – a local baker.
The hospitality and welcoming spirit of the town was evident as many shops opened their doors and made room for other vendors who did not have a permanent space in Downtown Navasota. Camp Hosea was housed in Love and Lace Bridal and The Windrow Event Venue was hosted just right next door along with Yaya’s florals, Nana’s Bakery, and Styled by S. It was great to see locals and visitors gather to support the many businesses within the area and learn about new businesses, such as Lily in June, whose ribbon cutting is next Thursday.
This event was hosted and created by Janice Sheve, co-owner of the P.A. Smith Hotel. Details for events, like the wedding walk, and area news are shared during a monthly event called “Coffee with the Chamber.”
